CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After the break for final exams, the Patriot League women's basketball teams in action this weekend (12.17-20) combined to pick up five wins out of the nine games played. American collected its first win of the season on the road and added a second on Sunday. Army West Point, Bucknell, and Lehigh also earned wins over the weekend.

Women's Basketball Quick Notes
* American captured its first win of the 2015-16 season on the road against Ivy for Dartmouth ... The Eagles edged out the Big Green, 45-41, putting together 12 points in the fourth quarter ... Freshmen Kaitlyn Lewis and Cecily Carl led the way, scoring 14 and 12 points respectively ... The second win of the weekend came on Sunday at Bender Arena over Manhattan, 52-48 ... AU held off a late rally from the Jaspers after opening the game with an 8-0 run ... Junior Lauren Crisler posted 12 points while senior Michelle Holmes chipped in nine points in addition to 13 boards.
* Army West Point defeated Emerson 86-47 in Christl Arena on Saturday afternoon ... The Black Knights have now won six games in a row and saw three different players in double-digit figures ... Army's victory also marked the 600 win in varsity history ... Senior Kelsey Minato posted a team best 23 points, while freshman Madison Hovren matched her career-high of 11 points ... Senior Jean Parker also contributed double-digit figures with 10 points.
*Bucknell had a strong outing at home over Delaware on Sunday, defeating the Blue Hens 80-51 ... Sophomore Jacquie Klotz netted 21 of her 25 team-best points in the first half and was 9-for-14 from the field, including a 5-for-8 mark from beyond the arc ... She also contributed nine rebounds and five assists ... Junior Claire DeBoer also reached double-digit points with 17 ... As a team, the Bison were 30-of-62 from the field, which included a 17-of-33 mark from the first half, and was 12-of-14 from the line.
*Lehigh overcame a slow start to take a second-half lead, only to have host Rider force overtime and win it 61-60 ... Senior Kerry Kinek led the team with 18 points while sophomore Quinci Mann was right behind with 17, 15 of which were scored in the second half ... Senior Elizabeth Sharlow also saw double figures with 12 points while junior Lexi Martin hauled in 14 rebounds ... The Mountain Hawks bounced back and ended their weekend with a 63-56 win over Hampton on the road ... Mann once again contributed double-digit points, leading with 21 ... Both Kinek and Martins each posted 15 boards while Martins also pitched in 15 points for her ninth double-double of the season.
*Boston University outscored Massachusetts in three quarters on the road ... However, a 30-point third quarter from the Minutewomen led them to victory, 73-56 ... Senior Troi Melton led the team with 15 points and junior Meghan Green posted 13 in addition to a team-best seven rebounds ... The Terriers are still looking for their first win of the season and have dropped to 0-10.
*Loyola Maryland came up short to crosstown rival UMBC on Sunday, 52-46 ... Grad student Steph Smith netted a team-leading 12 points while both senior Jeneh Perry and sophomore Bri Betz-White added nine points each ... Perry was just one points shy as she also posted a career-best 18 rebounds.
*Colgate fell at home on Saturday to St. Bonaventure, 62-38 ... The Raiders struggled to connect from the field and went into the half trailing 21-12, with all 12 points being scored in the second quarter ... Junior Katie Curtis led the team with 14 points.
Seven Patriot League teams will play six games across Monday and Tuesday, with the short week being capped off on Tuesday, Dec. 22 when Lafayette hosts Colgate to open the Patriot League slate at 5 p.m.
